Oct 2008 - Citycom ZigBee 2006 Stack is certified as ZigBee compliant platform
Citycom Technology Limited completed ZigBee Compliant Platform testing. Citycom ZigBee 2006 Platform is applicable to both ZigBee Compliant Platform Program, ZigBee PRO program.
May 2007 - Citycom Technology Limited was awarded the project from MTR Corporation Limited
Citycom Technology Limited was awarded the project, namely Supply of Radio Frequency Identification Readers and Tags, from MTR Corporation Limited (MTRCL).
An active RFID system for railway vehicle identification and position has been designed and developed. Testing was conducted in the Light-Rail System in Hong Kong and the performance was found to be robust. The system is currently being used in the Tuen Mun-Yuen Long Light Rail. It caters for passenger information application, and can be applied to various applications including Maintenance System, Vehicles Location/Positioning System etc.
At the railway stops, a Reader is installed near the arrival end of each platform, to report the arrival of a railway vehicle at the platform. Also, a Reader is installed near the departure end of the each platform, to report the departure of a railway vehicle from the platform.
The design of Readers and Tags in RVI system fulfils the tough requirements of railway system. The provided Reader and Tag meet the requirements of operating temperature/humidity, safety, vibration, signal radiation, ingress protection, impact resistance, UV resistance, flammability, etc. The system is highly accurate, highly reliable and relatively economical.
Oct 2006 - A World First
ZigBee Light Switch System was displayed in the Electronics Fair 2006 in October 2006 and brought about very encouraging echoes and excellent responses. According to Dr. K. F. Tsang, such system is the first in the world with "DIY" concept. The light switch was also reported in the exhibition as "Ideas to change the world" in the Technology Exchange Zone.
